OpenELEC 5.0.8 OpenELEC 5.95.1 http://www.udoo.org/forum/threads/openelec-5-95-2.2421/ https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4FdVu0-fJt6N3l3QmtpZVJRM1E&usp=sharing#list Not tested thoroughly. That's why I'm looking for users who would help supporting images for Udoo. Without some better approach there will be no official images for this system. Or at least no bug reports. Hi all, it takes some time to prepare new OpenELEC build for udoo board based on current state of OpenELEC. As you may be aware there is just one project called imx6 which will cover all devices based on this SoC. Because the project is base for Cubox-i device there are some sw components used which can't be changed. Most important one is Linux kernel 3.14+. So I merge all the work done previously by few users with my little knowledge and now I have udoo supported too (beside Cubox-i and TBS Matrix). Probably not everything is perfect yet but it is close enough. OpenELEC 5.0.4: OpenELEC-imx6.arm-5.0.4-udoo_quad.img.gz (still no analog output) OpenELEC-imx6.arm-5.0.0-udoo_quad.img.gz OpenELEC-imx6.arm-devel-20141212185955-r19776-g15f1597-udoo_quad.img.gz Please test it and let me know how it works. Analog audio doesn't work yet (waiting for driver). Some things must be fixed in Kodi (as for other devices also) and some are related to this device only. One thing I would like to know if CEC is working (don't have TV to test). I would like to thank you udoo team to send me the board. And also to notxarb for his work. It was very valuable.
WAW, thank you, downloading ! About CEC, I don't have much hope http://www.udoo.org/forum/xbmc-release-t518-50.html#p5572 but I'll try Have a nice week-end, I'll come back for the feedback
Yes, you are right. There is no CEC for udoo. At least not without some hardware modification. questions-ask-first-t506.html#p4053
Seems to be running quite fine on my UDOO Quad. HDMI-CEC adapter from Pulse-Eight was recognised immediately. I have been running Stephan's v0.0.6 image in the last couple of months, without much issues. I could never get AirPlay to work and now it seems to be working fine. Also a crash I had when playing certain online streams seems to have been resolved, it plays flawlessly now. When browsing the menus I sometimes have up to a second delay in response. I have no idea what causes this, but never experienced something similar with Stephan's build.
Maybe because CEC is also enabled on udoo itself. And this doesn't work. Next image will have it disabled.
Could be indeed. I must say that Stephan's build also had the chipset CEC enabled, but I didn't have any issues there. Disabling it completely shouldn't be much of a problem, as I don't think one could actually fix the CEC wiring on UDOO. I'm going to try this build for a while and see how things go. When I learn more about the delays I will let you know. If there's any information you need otherwise, all you need to do is let me know
JoostK, what exactly does it happen with delay? You press a button and action on TV is delayed? Can you check with top command if anything is using much cpu? Also debug log from kodi would be useful to check.
Ok, time for my feedback, it will be fast : this release works pretty well ! I don't think it's an issue but I can't disable ssh server, is it because it's not final or am I wrong ? vpeter : good work !
Open file uEnv.txt on sd card and remove parameters Code: ssh progress debugging console=ttymxc1,115200
Many thanks to vpeter. Great job!!! I have one problem with greek charset. In settings do not has option to greek layout keyboard. Can i do something to solve this problem myself. Thanks in advance!
Probably because it was just added to Kodi Update with this: http://mirror1.openelec.tv/udoo/OpenELE ... b503e2.tar Untested - I will do when I get from work. But should work because only Kodi is changed.
Perfect, thank you ! Have seen some movies in various formats, from usb and file server -> WORKS PERFECTLY so far. I'll test some plugins and themes this week-end. Greetz
I have used my UDOO with Kodi for the past two days (the days before I didn't have the time) and haven't noticed the delays any more, so can't tell or investigate what happened a week ago. Video playback seems fine, I have not yet had any crashes or other issues.
@vpeter does your work will be upstreamed to official build ? I don't have much to say about your release, it works pretty well
