I installed OpenMedia Vault on this SBC. Then I wanted to switch to Kodi. As it also has fileservers plus kodi media player.

I cannot replace the OMV boot loader. I have tried to install various distros over OMV. Even removed the microsd card.

Notice this SBC runs awful warm, but within specs.

Is the a bios setting that will wipe the bootloader ?

    TIA!

    Hello,

To replace the OpenMedia Vault bootloader with Kodi on your SBC, you typically need to overwrite the existing bootloader with the one provided by the Kodi distro. However, if you’re unable to do so, you might need to access the BIOS settings to wipe the current bootloader.

For the x86 Udoo first revision, you can restore the factory default settings from the System Configuration Utility (SCU) by pressing the F9 key during boot-up. Alternatively, you can remove the RTC battery for at least 1 minute to reset the UEFI BIOS to factory defaults. This should remove any persistent settings that might be causing issues with the bootloader.

I hope the information may helps you.
