Dear UDOOers,
as the community grows and new users happen to discover your platform you can’t be anything but excited. And we are: on July 16th and 17th the SECO’s Bangalore office has been involved in two academic workshops held in India, focused on UDOO.
The first one, entitled “Workshop on Embedded Android Program”, was held at the Kumaraguru College of Technoly, one of the top colleges in the Coimbatore region, in India. SECO was invited to hold a seminar for 3rd year IT Engineering students, a wonderful opportunity to foster digital literacy, expecially with embedded open-source tools, and then had an interactive discussion with Dr. Ramalatha Marimuthu, Head of the Information Technology Department.
The second workshop, named “Open-source Embedded Platform Training”, was held at the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology a management college of the Bannari Amman Group (BAG), among the biggest industrial conglomerates in South India. Trading, service activity and manufacturing have been the protagonists of the two events.
Finally SECO, together with Dr. S. Valarmathy, Professor & Head, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, led a workshop on the UDOO platform and DIY Open-source solutions for over fifty 3rd year ECE Engineering students.
UDOO Mario has got its time under the spotlight too, as you can see in the image below.
These are great opportunities to foster digital literacy. SECO, as you know, has always been committed in promoting the open-source culture. Therefore this initiative shows the ongoing interest of SECO in supporting innovative projects and internship programs worldwide in collaboration with prestigious universities and research institutes.
