It works. Thank you very much Peter, it works. Whenever you have time would you please takea look at the use of a mouse? I can point things with the mouse but nothing reacts. And as I'm use to work wit wireless mouse and keyboard... they both don't respond. But hey, whenever it suits you. The screensaver, I love this, Q-clock is not working either I very glad that the overall works. Ivan (Can I mail you some spare time, if only I could)
@vpeter can you tell me where you left off with this project? Also is it available to build from source and what the remaining snags are, if any? I loaded an image to my udoo quad ran it on my tv and noticed that there is no audio over hdmi and neither tv remote control access. I havent dug around though so maybe it is just my settings. I am pretty familiar with the imx6q SoC so perhaps I can help out.
I think the latest version of OpenELEC is 5.95.3. But with recent split of OpenELEC team I joined to LibreELEC fork and made LibreELEC 7.0.0. In LibreELEC I decided to use Linux kernel and Kodi from Xbian project because both components are more superior what OpenELEC is using. Sadly the image works perfectly for most users but doesn't work at all for some (with strange TV's). Because bugs can't solve myself I decided to put this project on ice until some better times come.
https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv but u-boot bootloader for udoo is missing there. You need to put this 2 packages to folder projects/imx6/packages and run PROJECT=imx6 ARCH=arm SYSTEM=udoo make image.
I have to say it is nice to see some development on the quad. What are the limits for multi-channel audio over HDMI? is there enough horsepower for Dolby ATMOS?
Hi Sirrab just pass through and decoding is done on your AVR? this should be no problem. But I don't know if this old Kodi Version can handle more than the Core function
