Hi Folks, Has anybody else noticed this? After its calibration run on startup, which takes about 8 seconds, the official CPU fan shuts down, and at that point the A101 gets reset. I cannot see a clean way of adding a nice big capacitor to the fan power supply lines, so I am thinking about getting the necessary connector to power the fan externally and just let it run all the time. cheers, robertkb
Does the Arduino also restart when the fan is not connected? In the documentation there is a arduino bug mentioned for power on, perhaps that is a cause for your issue? https://www.udoo.org/docs-x86/Arduino_101_(Intel_Curie)/Curie_Reset_on_PowerON.html
Thanks Walter, you are correct- the reboot occurs about 10 seconds after initial power up, regardless of whether or not the fan is plugged in- I simply didn't notice it before. And from the documentation you referred to, it appear that I can disable this behavior if it proves to be a problem (which it is not at this point).
