Dear all, If I want to add a Chassis Fan for Bolt, Am I right that I should connect a 5V Fan (50x50x10mm) to CN25? * CN25 (MicoChip MEC1705, 3.3V embedded controller pinout) # pin11: FAN_OUT0 -- 5V? or just 3.3V? # pin12: FAN_TACH0 # pin29: GND -- according to https://www.udoo.org/docs-bolt/Hardware_References/Pinout_Headers.html I have the following questions too: (a) Is pin11: FAN_OUT0 5V? (b) how to download the program to the microcontroller MEC1705? Thanks for any kinds of help!
pls. noted that This is about the CPU Fan connector! However, I am looking for the way to add an additional Fan for overall cooling of the whole chassis -> so any Udooer know the proper way to do so? Thanks!
FANOUT_0 is a logic level output, which needs a motor driver to make it work. (Don't recall it is 1.8V or 3.3V logic level... however, need a driver anyway.) MEC1705 is a critical component of the system operation. Leave it to factory to deal with it.
what motor driver which Udoo Bolt is using to drive the CPU Fan? and where can I download the schematics of Udoo Bolt? Thanks!
Should appear on this page soon https://www.udoo.org/docs-bolt/Hardware_References/Resources.html @evaloverde ETA?
Would be nice to know if the CN25 fan pins are connected to the on board fan or if they are available for a second fan?
