Has anyone got a SSD/HDD to work with the android version of the UDOO software? I can only get 8gb to show from my SDCARD and would like more storage.
It was requested several times since the pasts months, but it seems SATA never got implemented by the devs for Udoo Android. I filed a ticket about this and got an answer on February 28th 2014 : That should have been release 1.3, if I recall exactly, however it just didn't happen. I can't finish my Udoo Android tablet project because of this.
Not yet sorry. There are some partition issues we're trying to solve at the moment. Not even an ETA actually.
has there been any strides made forward on getting an ssd working on the UDOO android OS? That should be made perfectly clear before any purchase I thought I would have been able to use an SSD by now! I barely even use it because of lack of storage, I hate having to hook USB's up to it, and having to uninstall apps to make room for new ones.Progress??
Hey, any progress about this topic? When you will add boot from ssd via SATA for Android OS? I really need this feature for my car business. Any reply will be good. Thank you.
See my other post on this forum and https://www.primianotucci.com/blog/android-on-udoo-quad I got an image with Android and a SSD working ;-)
That's awesome ! Im going to give it a try today! Is there a step by step tutorial in the works? for future reference..
i was wondering this myself, i put one in my ps3 , why not udoo? really if it cant see the added speed there isnt much use, i got a 32gb microsd 10 card that fits my needs just fine, technally i guess that would be considered solid state to some extent , would be nice to know when this works out tho
vittpda: see the linked blog post for detailed instructions htsauce: it is not clear to me whether you are asking something, asserting something or what is your point. Btw, even if the bandwidth can be comparable (it is not), micro sd cards tend to have higher access latency than a SATA SSD drive. sd card was never designed for high performance I/O.
Guys, check out this post about Android and SATA: http://www.udoo.org/android-image-with- ... ate-today/
