Hello everyone, I´m a proud owner of a Udoo quad, because i thought it´s pretty simple to build a stand alone musik server. But after reading a lot i still have some questions that might sound funny for you, but i´ve no experience in programming etc. so, please considerate... I like to build a stand alone musik player with usb dac, musik from external usb hdd. Not sure yet if i use Volumio or XBMC. Any tips are appreciated. Does Volumio really sound better than XBMC? To install Volumio or XBMC, does Linux must be installed first, or do i have only the desired program on my micro sd? Can i use any usb dac? I ripped my music with dbpoweramp as flac and copy it the hdd. will that work? As a stand alone player i would like to have one switch for on and off, or do i have to shut down everytime like i know from my pc? I know there are a lot :roll: and :lol: now, but please help... I can reply on stuff regarding Volumio: - Yes, Volumio sounds better - Just download SD Card image - Not any, but 90% of USB DACs are supported - Yep, copy them to USB Drive, plug into UDOO, turn it on and rescan database - You can turn it off via WebUI or simply unpluggin power Let me know!
Hello, got it running now with a new router...but... ...on my usb drive i´ve got about 20 albums, when i rescan the device, volumio shows only 3 of them in the library. all albums are copied the same way by dbpoweramp to the usb drive. anything i can try? thanks in advance...
