Any news from the official release ? This release was announced "soon" by months. Open elected has released a beta version with imx6 support any disk images for udoo ? Udoo is the worst investissment I have ever done. For almost 2 years I saw great work for the community and nothing from the staff. Xbmc support was announced in the first day of the udoo project and now still no official support.
I quote this. Almost 99% done by community, but what worse it's the annunce of the release of a long waited stable (and working) version that never arrived. To get a XBMC working on a tiny computer I had to switch to O...d that born when stuff here announced a stable xmbc version and now I got several images working.
Hello to everyone, we would like to let you know we are still waiting for news from OpenElec Team regarding a new release of their product for UDOO. Unfortunately the development doesn't depend on us , we are waiting just like you some news about a new release.
I confirm, still in touch with dev team of OpenElec, I repinged them on this and hope to get good news soon...
I think it should be sooner. Hoping for 2014. If not then in january 2015. I'm expecting one board in next days (thank you udoo team for that) and I already start working on it. Official support for TBS Matrix system is waiting to be accepted in openelec repository. In the same way I'm expecting for udoo. I'm just hoping kernel version 3.14.25+ from cubox-i will work also on udoo. Because openelec goal is to use only one build for all i.mx6 based devices (with different linux kernel device tree and different bootloader. Which means same linux kernel and same u-boot bootloader (ok, this one could be different). This goal was achieved for Matrix so there is no excuse for others. Update: If there is anyone willing to test my image let me know (dual/quad). Seems I'm far.
I would be willing to test the quad image. Any chance there has been any work done for 3.5mm audio out?
Not yet. Udoo is using VT1613 audio codec which is not even supported in our 3.14 kernel. And of course also not in kernel device tree. On todo list. I send you PM with image download link.
Workaround for the 3.5mm jack (USB-sound card) Hi, I'm new on this forum, using my quadcore with kodi (xbmc) I've got a workaround for not much money (a couple euro's here in my country; the Netherlands) for the 3.5mm jack. Search on google for: Mini USB Sound Adapter Card External Hoped it helped a bit and hoping we will get more releases...
To be clear, this is already working for me! Sound goes straight to my sound-system (otherwise i needed to let my tv on)
Hi vpeter, Nice to read you, if there is something to test, I'm highly motivated I saw another thread relating the VT1613 : http://www.udoo.org/forum/post11075.html?hilit=vt1613
About vt1613 driver: it is under work and will be published soon. But for now I have bigger problems. Imx6 project with Openelec is using kernel 3.14. But there is no device tree definitions for udoo board. I'm trying to copy them from older kernels but always have issues like not booting. I found some tips and I hope this will be resolved soon.
