Well, SolidRun made huge contribution to i.MX6 code. And all other boards got much easier work. But I can't understand why openelec doesn't want to include all my (and from other devs) changes for other boards especially because it doesn't affect Cubox in any way. Maybe it's the money issue. Who knows. It's not me who made this decision. And one more thing: I got Udoo board for free to port OpenELEC on it. By suggestion of main openelec dev!
I have an 32mB sd card. Put Android on it. And then KODI. Direct from kodi.fm Arm-system. At last it runs, I can do what I intended to do. But that is not the way, isn't ....
There is a progress to include all required changes to official OpenELEC. Soon I will prepare new openelec image. But of course no change regarding lvds
Ok for myself I found a workaround for the arduino reset problem: I compiled the devregs tool as described in this thread: http://www.udoo.org/forum/threads/pwm-on-pins-i-mx6-udoo-quad-udoobuntu.1585/ and then set the Mux register IOMUXC_SW_PAD_CTL_PAD_GPIO_0 to 0 (normal value: 0x000130b0) Then the arduino does work again! s00500, what exactly are you trying to say? Running arduino code with openelec? Yes, there is a problem with this and will be solved somehow. The problem is that code starts to run at powering on. But then it is stopped for a while and when openelec is finally started arduino starts again. I would like to run it from powering on without interruption. Still looking how to set this pin to low at boot (probably in device tree). Setting this pin when system runs is one option but would like better solution. If you have any suggestion let me/us know. Now that I'm little more motivated this should be fixable. EDIT: So close V5.0.8, 6.0 beta2 and master on the way. Still need to fix Arduino part
I almost fixed Arduino reset issue in kernel - no need to use any user program.. I managed to make Arduino code running when Udoo board starts and Openelec is running. The issue I have is that when Openelec is shutdown Arduino resets and then starts again. I install Udoobuntu and there is the same issue. So this behaviour is correct? Anyone knows?

That's why I'm looking for users who would help supporting images for Udoo. Without some better approach there will be no official images for this system. Or at least no bug reports. Update: Forgot to mentioned that I succesfullly hook 7" touch LVDS display. And got openelec running of it. Touchscreen is not working yet and this is next thing to fix.
Hi, yes I was aware that the arduino would restart with my trick everytime you reboot openelec... Thanks for the Patch and not stopping development here =D
Just a little update: After many hours I managed to use 7" touchscreen with OpenELEC. I had to add device tree description for display and modify kernel driver for touch controler ST1232. Now the remaining part is Kodi addon for calibration. Seems there is no need for changes in Kodi.

Hello again, Thank you for not giving up Peter. I installed OpenELEC-imx6.arm-5.95.1-udoo_quad-v1 OpenELEC-imx6.arm-5.0.8-udoo_quad-v1 It works with my TV but not with the 15" LVDS screen. (no touch) Is there a setting that I'm not aware of?
Yes, it is working on my desk. At least 7" - didn't have time to test 15". Will make one image in next days. But I don't now what king of touch is used on 15" screen. Seems some USB one if I saw correctly on product page (I have only "normal" display). So until someone tell me what type is used don't expect it to work.
So do I, 15" without the "touch". In the technical data sheet is no mention of the "appendix" as seen on the pictures. Would there be no comparation with an other board? as it is USB driven? I think on Odroid, or another board? I'm a pain in the ass... But would the sound be separated from hdmi? Is there yet a driver for the sound? Maybe I even have with touch - must check at home. Yes, this 15" display has USB based touch probably eGalaxTouch which I'm familiar with. But this one needs Kodi Isengard patches which are not available online or at least I didn't find them. I did some modification of Helix based and will try them. Seems vt1613 driver is already available. Will try it asap (currently has some computer problems...). And yes, it is separate output instead of HDMI and must be set in Kodi.
