Hi, I was looking for a small, energy efficient board to make a media server setup and I think I've just found it I've seen videos about outputting to two different screens, I guess Win+P option will work well whether I want to extend or duplicate the two screens. My only question is how the resolution will be? My first screen is 4K and the second one is Full HD. Initially I thought on *anypc* with an HDMI splitter, and the problem was the output would be the same on both (Full HD, as it takes the lowest resolution from the connected devices). tl;dr: Will I be able to connect two different screens, and get the maximum resolution on both of them? 4K on a 4K screen, with HDMI, and Full HD on a Full HD screen with a DP to HDMI cable?
Right now we don't even KNOW for sure if it will ever reach production. According to the schedule they should have started shipping. But the last news was that they had some minor problem with booting. No news if that has been fixed and when shipping will start. Last update on the problem was 30 september: "but we’ve recognized a problem at boot, a problem that we are working to solve. We’ll keep you posted" You would expect that if they had fixed that problem they would have told us about it.
Hi @Triodefreak, honestly you're getting confused: we shouldn't have started shipping by now. Our estimated delivery time is November, non October. Anyway, today, maybe tomorrow we'll make an update on Kickstarter, so it's just a matter of a little patience.
I have plenty of patience. It's just that when you spend more than one month on a boot problem and don't inform your kickstarters..that is pretty frustrating.... 30 September was the first official mention of a problem during boot time...since then no update on the problems..
I'm aware that annoucing delays is never a great news. I'm sorry. We were and still are doing our best to stay on schedule. But I promise that the final result will be beautiful.
I was not being sarcastic. I was really happy to hear what the problem was and that it could be resolved. No-one wants a half baked product... If in the end product works well...it will all be worth the wait!
I'm not totally sure I've understood what you mean with "better late than sorry" @Maurice. Could you explain please?
That I rather have a good product late than that I'm sorry having a product that isn't wonderful. There is a better expression, but I can't recall it at the moment. Something like the disttaste of a bad meal lasts longer than the feeling of late delivery.
I don't want to be a pain in anyone's ass. But usually one says: "better safe than sorry". Or "better late then never"
