Trying to workout materials and size of said materials for a custom case, and other components such as batteries. To do so, I not only need the Length and Width(can be found on your kickstarter), but also the Height of the board. Been looking for the Height measurements and can't seem to find it anywhere! I'm assuming around 40mm, beacuse of the LAN port and double stacked M.2 on the back. But accurate measurements would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Around 24mm from top of Ethernet to bottom of M.2 socket. Not sure how accurate this measurement is, as I'm using my own cut down edited model to measure. For accuracy, download the source model. Direct link to source 3D model: http://udoo.org/download/files/mechanical_specs/udoo_x86_3d_model_reva.zip
The link is no longer working... So is there another place where we can find dimensions of the UDOO x86.
I just downloaded the 3D model files(zip). Which program should I use to open the 3D model file. Name of the file is 'csb02revh_idf_02_01_cfg01.STEP' Thanks for any help.
This is a STEP file, a file format for exchanging 3D CAD files. You can import this in your CAD system normally with a plugin. For Sketchup you could try this one: https://extensions.sketchup.com/nl/content/simlab-step-importer-sketchup. There is also a free STEP viewer but it will only let you view the 3D file, not edit it or take some measures: http://www.stpviewer.com/
