Real Time Clock Udoo-Neo

Hi,

Have purchased the rtc battery holder + connector.

After connectin to the neo-board I can't syncronise the hardware clock.

hwclock -r or hwclock --debug doesn't work.
Error : /dev/rtc failed no such file or directory

After /dev/rtc creation = Error : Inappropriate ioctl for device synchronization failed.

What must be installed or done to activate the real time clock ?

at the moment the RTC clock on UDOO NEO is not working properly. The hardware is completely ok, but the software needs to be fixed. The adjustment is coming. In the meanwhile, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Even after updating/ upgrading hwclock -r or hwclock --debug doesn't work is still not working.

 

Did you already try it with the just released udoobuntu 2 rc2?

 

Yes.
just made an SD with destop version 2016-04-01.
And cannot access the Hardware Clock via any known method.
Debug = /dev/rtc => No such file or directory !!

any news about this? it's a bit weird that you're selling a board with this feature but it can't be used due to a software bug, it shouldn't be in beta anymore, right?

 

My opinion, its better to attach an external RTC (via I2C/SPI) than using the processors (imx6sx) RTC as the current consumption can be high resulting quick battery drain.

Honestly we haven't had the time to work on this. Does it work if you disable M4?

 

why are we sold add-ons to a board which doesn'st work. Nice work udoo team,you guys got me on this one.i will be very smart not to buy 5 boards at a go for a protype.
