**UPDATE** playing around with various intel drivers I found a drive package that installs the USB 3 drivers for the board in Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

    -----> https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...ver-for-Windows-7-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC6i7KYK

Does not solve the other driver issues but at least now I can connect to the web with a USB wireless adapter and run an auto driver update package from the Intel site now.

So I finally got Win7 up and running on an old laptop sata drive with UdooX86. I had to custom build a power cable for it since you guys decided to go with an uncommon power plug for the sata. Now I cant install any drivers for my chipset or NIC since the Intel driver package linked here > http://www.udoo.org/docs-x86/Software_&_OS_Distro/Windows does not install correctly. Also cant hook up any external USB drives so I have been powering down the Udoo unplugging the drive and hooking it up to a usb external enclosure and transferring files over to the drive from my main computer. Quite a roundabout way to get files onto the new Win 7 install but I have no other way til the NIC is installed and the USB 3 ports are functioning properly. If anyone knows about some drivers that will install on please let me know.

@tonberryhunter - he's not kidding. Windows 10 works right out of the box... 7 is a nightmare to get working on this board... If you want a simple solution, run 10.

I honestly dont care for Windows 10 especially when running underpowered hardware. I have two SATA drives here so maybe I will install Win 10 on the second drive and do some speed comparisons with games. I doubt Win 10 will show any improvements. The UI in 10 really bothers me. Its trying way to hard to be super fool proof but just ends up coming across gimmicky and bloated.

If you do compare please write a small review. If it's a big difference i will most likely install Windows 7 instead of 10 as i have on it now.

I thought that Windows 7 is the one with bloated UI and I'd expect Windows 10 to work better.

I finally got Windows 7 running so I can use my Adobe CS5 suite. It was a little difficult, but I'm loving it!

Would be nice for the other ones if you could share the steps you take to get Win7 installed (especially the drivers)

    1. I installed Ubuntu on the 32gb eMMC. It came in handy later when I needed to access the Windows installation on the 128gb M.2 ssd.
    2. Go into BIOS and enable keyboard and mouse for Windows under Other Configuration.
    3. I followed the steps here to make my bootable USB thumb drive. http://www.fit-pc.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_make_Windows_7_bootable_install_USB_stick
    4. Download and use this utility to add usb 3 support to the thumb drive. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility?httpDown=https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25476/eng/Win7-USB3.0-Creator-V3-Win7Admin.zip
    5. Plug your installation thumb drive into the Udoo.
    6. Start it up, push Escape repeatedly, and choose to boot from the thumb drive.
    7. Windows installation will start. If you get stuck, follow this video.
    8. The tricky part was that once Windows installed, I lost my keyboard access but still had my mouse, so I booted into Ubuntu, downloaded the following files and dropped them into my Windows desktop folder...
    a) USB 3 - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...Driver-for-Intel-7-Series-C216-Chipset-Family
    b) Wifi - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-7-
    c) Graphics - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...phics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-?product=91830
    d) Ethernet - http://www.realtek.com/downloads/do...d=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
    e) Audio - http://www.realtek.com/downloads/do...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
    9. Shut down and boot back into Windows.
    10. Load those drivers, and you're good to setup wifi and download Windows Updates.

I edited that post to include the two RealTek downloads you indicated. Honestly, I didn't really hunt past what I had as I'm up to full functionality for my productivity. Let's keep it going though. I'll make a new thread since I didn't know about that other one you referenced and try to consolidate it all as a guide.
