I'm getting really poor performance in YouTube in Windows 10 on the Ultra. Is this to be expected? At 1080p, things are fine, but if I try to play 1440p or 2560p videos I get a lot of stutter and buffering. I'm using wifi, but I get a solid 72Mpbs download speed on Speedtest.net I also get solid performance at 1440p and 2560p on Vimeo videos, so I guess it could be a decoder issue?
I think the following link will give some information and hints to solve: https://www.cnx-software.com/2016/0...y-disabling-vp9-support-in-chrome-or-firefox/
How much memory do you have allocated to video in the BIOS? I maxed out video card memory, and other memory options, for more of a desktop use. Native settings are set pretty low, to dedicate more memory as non-desktop usage.
Thanks very much! I downloaded the extension suggested on the link and that has disabled VP9 in Chrome, which then lets me stream perfectly smoothly.
