Hi everybody, I have an issue with my Udoo Quad. I used it without problems for a lot o months then I shutted it down for a couple of months and now I was trying to boot up it again but it seems not working at all. The system does not boot and does not produce any output on the hdmi. I tried to connect it to the pc, but the pc does not see the com port or any unknown device attached. The only thing I can see on the board is the power led on. I tried several distributions and I am using the official power supply. Do you think the board is brocken or am I missing something? Is there a way to "hard reset" the board? I case something got stuck for some reason? Thanks in advance! L
Can you connect a serial debug connection: Connect the serial port of UDOO DUAL/QUAD (CN6) to your PC using the micro USB cable. It can be used for debugging: https://www.udoo.org/docs/Troubleshooting/Why_My_UDOO_Wont_Boot.html More information about the serial debug connection: https://www.udoo.org/docs/Basic_Setup/Connecting_Via_Serial_Cable.html
Hi, thanks for your reply. I tried that, but it seems the pc does not assign a COM port to the board. Do I have to put a specific combination for the jumpers?
Ok, I solved one problem: the debug now shows... It says: U-Boot SPL 2015.10-00061-g68849f9 (Jan 08 2016 - 17:01:43) MMC Device 0 not found spl: mmc device not found ### ERROR ### Please RESET the board ### I created the sd as described in the docs (and as I said, the board worked for a long time). What could be the problem?
I tried two sd cards with the latest udoobuntu image flashed and the Android 6.0.1, but the got me the same results. This morning I flashed one of the sd card with udoobuntu 1.1 and the card booted... So, I think it is a problem on the flashing process... I used Sd card formatter to format the sd card and win 32 disk imager to flash the disk, but evidently something went wrong. I will try to flash everything from linux ans see what happens. I was looking to use openmediavault, let's see if it will work.
