Try a different cable? Attach it to another port? Just try to be 100% sure it is the udoo and not the cable or port the other end if the cable is plugged into.
He good morning, maybe I have the same problem that shinn , I have installed e udoo_quad_ubuntu_1.3 on ubunto quad and everything seams good except the ethernet connection (but whit wifi I have), for the moment I haven’t way to have a link (I try also with different switch connection and with static configuration no DHCP) and if I ask at the system the situation with dmesg receive back this message .... udevd[2218]: renamed network interface wlan0 to wlan6 [ 4.752166] eth0: no PHY, assuming direct connection to switch [ 4.752180] PHY 0:00 not found [ 4.755345] eth0: could not attach to PHY [ 4.849665] init: failsafe main process (3001) killed by TERM signal What do you think is software o hardware problem? Hi, I also have a brand new Udoo Quad. I have also Problems with the wired network. I tried udoo_quad_ubuntu_1.3 and udoo_quad_ubuntu_2.0 My log file says (dmesg | grep 'etho'): eth0: no PHY, assuming direct connection to switch eth0: could not attach to PHY I need some help. It looks like the nic can not be found. Update: I tried to run: ifconfig eth0 up My log file says: kernel BUG at include/linux/netdevice.h:520!
