Dear all, I have just tried to connect CN11, the headset connector, with my 3.5mm Huawei mobile phone headset but... it's weired that it cannot fully plugged into CN11 and the earphone CANNOT hear any sound, however, the microphone does work! What's wrong? Thanks for any kinds of help!
I plugged in amplified headphone unit to that 3.5mm receptacle and it is working fine. I.e., the signal level needs an Amp.
What OS are you using? I had a similar issue on Manajro KDE which I resolved by disabling auto-mute mode in alsamixer.
can you plug the 3.5mm plug (it's a plug into the receptacle, right?) fully into CN11 receptacle? Thanks!
Sorry my earlier report was on CN12 connector, which is near the HDMI output. Now I check the CN12, which is near the USB 3.0 connector.... Yes, it works fine on my headphone. The 3.5mm plug cannot get all the way in. Actually, the last contact (the "Ring") will have to have the metallic contact with the jack's shiny meta (and tiny)l contact piece, in the outside.
Dear all, I confirm that CN12, TRS headphone + S/PDIF, works properly with my Huawei 3.5mm mobile phone headset, I can hear the music in my headset However, for CN11, the TRRS audio combo socket, NOT working, no sound can be heard (but the Mic, does work) -- it is found that Win10 does not detect it So any Extra driver required to make it work?
Can CN11 works properly in your side? i.e. you can * hear music thru your mobile headset * and record voice thru the microphone of your headset
The audio device is "High Definition Audio Device" under Win10 and is using the Microsoft driver. Under TRRS arrangement: Headphone volume is fine (I think it is not the low impedance type, perhaps 40 ohm.) 8 ohm one is a bit low on sound level. Microphone volume is very low but is functional.
I was having this issue on different versions of Ubuntu and also solved it by disabling auto-mute on alsamixer.
