Thank for reading my problems. I follow the guide in this link " https://www.udoo.org/docs-neo/Getting_Started/Create_a_bootable_MicroSD_card_for_UDOO_Neo.html " but still cannot boot up the board. It's show green light all the time. My setting: - Udoo Neo board full. - Micro SD 16G. - Power supply 12V, 2.5A - Boot using terminal in Macbook, also Etcher on Macbook and also terminal in Linux but the result is still the same.
What if you connect a monitor and keyboard, do you see messages? A desktop? Can you ping the neo from your Macbook?
I also face the same problem on my PC. My setting is : UDOO NEO FULL board. Power supply 12V, 3A Micro SD 32G, The image I download is "UDOObuntu 2.2.0 (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)". Should I use another image, "UDOObuntu 2.2.0 Minimal (14.04 LTS)". " ?
No need for that. Creating an image is causing issues if you do not follow exactly the manual Udoo has created. If you use other programs to unzip, write image to SD card etc, you can introduce errournous outcomes. So please follow the manual carefully. https://www.udoo.org/docs-neo/Getting_Started/Create_a_bootable_MicroSD_card_for_UDOO_Neo.html
Hi waltervl, Thank you for your answer. However, I was already following this link's instruction to make the udoobuntu-udoo-qdl-desktop_2.2.0 image on SD Card. i.e. download the .zip, then use 7-zip to extract out the .img file. run Win32DiskManager (Run as administrator). select the .img file. Click "Write". Finsh. After finish, I insert the SD card into UDOO NEO, then connect UDOO NEO's micro USB port to my PC's USB port, then power up UDOO NEO with 12V power adaptor. only green LED turn ON. (I wonder why red LED doesn't ON ?) PC does not prompt me to install device driver for it. (seems PC does not detect the existence of UDOO NEO) If I try to use browser to browse 192.168.7.2, Fail to connect to this site. If I try to only connect UDOO NEO to monitor display, (power up UDOO NEO with 12V adaptor). It still only green LED turn ON, and there is nothing appear on the monitor display. By the way, I used to follow the same procedure to create another SD Card with image : UdooNeo_Android Mashmallow_v.1.1_demo.img. and then use it, and everything is normal. When I power up UDOO NEO (Android mashmallow image SD Card) with 12V adaptor, both green LED and red LED turn ON. When I connect UDOO NEO (Android mashmallow image SD Card) to monitor display, Android image appear on monitor display as I expect, everything is normal, and I can operate it.
