Hi. I`m new to sbc world and electronics in general. And want the udoo to be my first. Been reading past post on the forum when people asked the same question. So i know it been discussed previosly, but even in many post till the last page i didnt find the conclussion. as time has passed, i couldnt find some followed up to how people carry on with their power solution. I know it need a steady 12v and max 3A, 36W. But i read the powerbank solution werent ideal since most of them variate 10% and udoo only accept 12v +/-5%. so wanted to know who done it and how. could the zmi powerbank for mac at 3A, 45w. Do the job? if at 15V, would it kill the sbc? i believe someone once sugested the Floureon PD60W 26800 mAh Power Bank or the ravPower 20000mAh 60 W PD would they give the steady voltage needed to power the board and ports? do ineed something like Dc to Dc step down buck controller to regulate a steady 12v 3a? what powerbank solution with no too complicated mod maybe, would you suggested or someone had done already? -FOR SOMETHING LIKE A DIY LAPTOP with arduino.
Power supply absolute max. is 13V. Recommended value is 12V+-5%. Re: PD power bank You'll have to get a 12V PD trigger to get it to output 12V power. Also, sufficient power design, e.g., thick enough, not overly long wiring; suggest to add 2200uF 16V eletrolytic capacitor, is highly recommended.
