Hello friends: I want to use the CAN bus to control a servo motor, but ... it seems there is no driver I am a fresh bird in linux. So if any one knows something about this, please kindly tell me. Thanks.
I seems that there is a driver for CAN, but how can I use it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- login as: ubuntu ubuntu@192.168.0.102's password: Welcome to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.0.35 armv7l) * Documentation: https://help.ubuntu.com/ Last login: Wed Jun 25 07:02:54 2014 from 192.168.0.104 ubuntu@udoobuntu: ~ $ dmesg | grep can [ 1.737142] vcan: Virtual CAN interface driver [ 1.745441] flexcan netdevice driver [ 2.760216] can: controller area network core (rev 20090105 abi 8) [ 2.760299] can: raw protocol (rev 20090105) [ 2.760305] can: broadcast manager protocol (rev 20090105 t)
There is a can bus device that communicate with the bluetooth, it is more quickly to use. I have tried it with an android app and it's work very well. Another type of OB2 device can comunicate with the serial of arduino, but i haven't tried it.
