Does anyone know if the Bolt hardware is capable of controlling the speed of the fan? At the moment the Bolt BIOS seems to allow you to control...
I have the original UDOO Ultra x86 and run it 24x7 with no problems. No reason to suspect the x86 II should be any worse.
I see there is an option in the Bolt BIOS for setting up a RAM disk - does anyone know how to go about using this? The User Manual gives no...
I suspect that adding a suitable capacitor could help with this if only we knew where to add it :(
Have you gone into the BIOS settings and checked that it is set to use a 25W power profile (apparently many Bolts have shipped set to use a 15W...
Good point. Since the picture on the Mouse site includes the fan, and also the fact that UDOO do not offer the fan as an accessory I suspect it...
I do not think the UDOO x86 suffers from this issue as it does not support hyper-threading and the bug only occurs on processors that DO support it.
Since that appears to have mounting holes that look like they would be suitable for a 2.5” Device I expect that is exactly where it is expected to...
I think you will be out of luck then (although it would be nice to be proved wrong) as UDOO do not provide any drivers as far as I know. They...
I would have thought this would be a function of the software you are running on the UDOO x86 rather than the hardware? The UDOO x86 is basically...
You can get freedos from freedos.org or msdos from anybootdisk.com. Probably other sources of both of those if you google for sources.
If your OS can write to a USB or a CD then you can create a bootable one.
Rufus is Windows based, but there are equivalents for all common OS.
Just download something like Rufus and it has the option to build a bootable DOS USB (based on FreeDOS I believe).
That was addressing the comment about the updated only running under certain OS. I was pointing out that anyone who uses an UDOO can easily...
Updated being limited in OS is not really an issue as it is relatively trivial to create a bootable DOS USB and run the updates from there.
I use one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HG7HO22/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Connects to the header pins on the...
I think you will have missed it! I know it finished at about 16:00 GMT on July 30th.
In the UDOO User Guide it is section 3.3.6 called “Buttons / LED Header” and is on connector CN25. These pins equate directly to the similar pins...
The easiest way to find out might be to boot a Linux ‘live’ CD/USB drive so that you can use ifconfig from that level. As to whether this is (or...
