    Hey guys.

I've been looking and can't seem to find the answer. I'm wondering what the maximum current supply of the 5 volt rail is?

    Thanks

    Eric

i'm wondering the same question, though i think about 1000MA since i saw in their NAS-tutorials that it uses a 5V line for the 2,5 inch hard drive (which can consume up to 800MA for some models)

I can`t see it anywhere , but don`t think it`s that high , my guess would be around 200-300ma spare , if that.
I guess the only way to know is check out the voltage regulator used .

The fact that in the NAS tutorial they hooked the drive up directly to the board, it makes me think it's pretty high. How high I have have no idea though.

The maximum current supply by a standard usb is 500ma , and 2.5 inch drive work without a extra psu , therefore a 2.5 inch uses last than 500ma , simple logic !!!!

    BUT .......

Looking at the schematics page 2 ( DC / DC ) U26 which uses a RT8287AZQW which is rated at 4 amps , but how much of that is used ?.
