Ok, so I've been thinking about some ways to make a case/mount for the either the 7 or 15" screen, a SATA drive, the Udoo board - but still have a way to access the GPIO pins easily for when I want to do hardware projects, and the camera.

My first thought was to maybe use one of those index card boxes, but I couldn't find one I really thought would work unless I went WAY up on size.

That has me thinking maybe something like one of these might be able to be modified:

    http://www.amazon.com/MaxxGuard-Combo-L ... e+lock+box
    http://www.amazon.com/Vaultz-Locking-Wa ... e+lock+box
    http://www.amazon.com/Vaultz-Locking-Pe ... e+lock+box

Or something along those lines... They make all different shapes and sizes.

My thought being that you could mount the screen on top of or inside the top, SATA drive on the bottom, Udoo in between. Open the "lid" to get access to the screen (depending on how you mount it) and/or the GPIO.

    Thoughts?

using either of the top 2, you could also cut a whole and with some brackets inside have the screen embedded in the top of the case.
Assuming you dont want to cut a huge hole, i would think personally inside would be better because it would allow you to position it at an angle that would actually be usable. if its on the top of the outside then you would have to open it backwards to have it face you and be usable.

Yeah, I need to take some measurements...

The biggest issue I see is if I want to do the 15" then I end up with a case that is gigantic compared to the Udoo itself. But I'm thinking that if I do that then I could store the keyboard and mouse inside the case and just open and take it out when needed, or hook them up using a USB hub plugged into the internal USB jack ,assuming I exposed the various ports by cutting holes in the sides of the case.

The 7" allows more options without going insane size.

I really wish I could find these locally though. Would hate to order something from amazon and then find it's not going to work.

But anyhow, still looking at it. Need to plan it out more before I pull the trigger.
