Before i start i want to say yes i looked into the search directory for it found some but were old topics. so here it goes. I know previous version of windows cannot be installed on udoo. but i have been reading the new windows 8 has a mobile feature that can be used with arm cpu's. so i though would it be possible at this time to actually install windows on a udoo board? or trick the system to install it on a memory card? my apologies if this sounds like a stupid question but for me its just a curious one and i love to learn new things.
I would put the chances close to nil, unless Microsoft somehow became interested in supporting this board (highly unlikely). Having a version compiled for ARM CPUs isn't enough-- there's a huge variety in not-quite-compatible ARM platforms out there, each with its own unique on-chip and attached peripherals that all need driver support. Even standard Linux wouldn't run on a Udoo without the extensive kernel customizations from Freescale, plus further patches specific to the Udoo itself.
