    Hi,
I'd like to update the BIOS on my UDOO X86, but have none of the supported OSes installed on mu UDOO x86.
Could you be so kind to provide an EFI binary for updating the uEFI/BIOS?
    Thanks,
    Goetz.

Please release clean (BSD-licensed) binary-free source code so that we can build our own updaters. "Open hardware" should not force us into specific operating systems. I have successfully ported an alternative operating system (neither Linux nor *BSD) to the Udoo x86, and if Udoo wants continued extending of uses by its users, we need more unencumbered and binary-free source code tools. If you can not release firmware updaters without blobs, please consider an alternative firmware, such as Open Firmware.

    Hi Laura,
I'm aware that I could create a Linux Live USB stick.
But Insyde has uEFI tools readily available, and as a customer you can simply get them and add them to the other tools you provide in the BIOS update archive.
You already offer the DOS, Linux and Windows versions.
    Please add the uEFI versions.
    Thanks,
    Goetz.

    Hi Snakebyte,
while I completely understand your wish, I don't think Udoo/Seco has any possibility to get the source for the update from
    Insyde.
Most likely the real magic happens inside an ACPI / SSM call anyway.
    Cu,
    Goetz.
