Hi Udooers, I am struggling enabling PXE boot via network with the NIC onboard. The same issue for UEFI or LEGACY boot, in here I describe what I have done für UEFI mode. Network is enabled in the boot order . Then I also activated the "Network stack" and "ipv4 pxe booting". (It does not matter if I enable the IPv6 and HTTP options there, too.) Would expect after doing this to get a PXE Boot screen, and I expect to see DHCP queries from the Bolt when sniffed. I also would expect in the "Boot Overide Menu", to see a network option. I do not see attempts of the Bolt to be booted via network. Changing from UEFO to LEGACY does not work either. Playing with the settings in the CSM (Compatibility Submodule) does not help. (Maybe the Network boot rom is legacy only.) I appreciate any hints how to get PXE booting working. Best regards Joerg
I have not made any progress here, did someone try to boot via network. I enabled IPV4 PXE Support as described on page 58 in the Bolt manual. I verified that my Bolt is able to boot via network and my PXE environment is working. An EFI-bootable USB Stick that contain iPXE can be created with https://gist.github.com/AdrianKoshka/5b6f8b6803092d8b108cda2f8034539a. With this method I can boot via network, but this is not done via the stuff that should be in the BIOS/UEFI Firmware according to the manual. Was this feature tested somehow? Maybe in the tests there is documentation how to get that working. My BIOS Verison is 1.05 RC8.
Hi Joerg and UDOO team, 1) I would also like to get clear instruction how to enable PXE booting 2) Wish I could get instructions how to enable normal auto boot after power failure 3) Need instructions for enabling Wake-on-LAN as promised when UDOO BOLT was advertised Thanks to all kind souls which can contribute! Has anyone gotten PXE Boot to work on the bolt yet? I have tried a number of network stack, CSM and boot settings but nothing seems to work. Thanks in advance.
With any BIOS version before 1.06 rc4 PXE Boot will not work, accoring to the history file. I was allowed to test BIOS Release. WoL still does not seem to work.
