Hello, Like on Raspberry pi 3, I would like to make a backup image of ubuntu that I have installed on a micro sd card on a udoo x86 single board. The Micro sd card works, it boots on UEFI mode. However, when I have to switch the micro sd card with another on an other udoo x86, it doesn't work. Likewise, when I want to load the image.iso on an other udoo card, it doesn't work. I can boot with : [ESCAPE] and then boot from file and then I explore the sd card. But the boot manager doesn't recognize the micro sd card as an UEFI device (the only way to boot). How to make some switchable backup iso on udoo x86 which can boot whatever is the card ?
UEFI saves some boot-settings internally and you might need to save/update/restore those for other card to boot. I would recommend using legacy booting instead of UEFI if possible, since it is much simpler.
I can't install Ubuntu on micro sd card with legacy mode with udoo x86 :-( And you ? Are you able to do it ?
it seems to me that it freezes or it crashes towards the end of the installation with ubuntu live usb.
