Is x86 BIOS UEFI ?

    If so does it have ' legacy ' settings ?
    I like to experiment with ' live usb ' distros ,
    and need something that will boot from USB
    with the ease of pre-UEFI P.C. s ......
    ( just wasted considerable $ on a unit
    ( that even though ' barebones ' ) had no
    way to defeat ' secure boot ' )
