I'm hoping someone can help me find an affordable way to connect Pixel Qi 7" displays to UDOO. I've seen from earlier postings that the 1024x600 resolution is not supported with the onboard LVDS controller, but please let me know if that is not true. It would be nice if we could just make a custom cable. Here is the datasheet for the Pixel Qi 7" display (pinouts on page 12): http://www.pixelqi.com/yahoo_site_admin ... 201831.pdf Here is a LVDS board that drives the Pixel Qi 7" display and outputs DVI, but it is $395. I would like to find something cheaper: http://systemation-inc.com/index.php/pr ... /79-adp114 Thanks so much! Kind Regards, - Clint
LVDS 15" screens i have see the lvds tutorial for 15" and a make all the procedure, but the screen is black, what can i doo?
UDOO housing/enclosure with 7" screen I was looking to see if anyone has either a housing enclosure for the UDOO board with the 7 inch screen or, if not the enclosure, perhaps a CAD drawing? I would love to have something I can take with me that is all-in-one when I am testing between work and home. Can't go wrong with anything you got
Is possible turn off the backlight with 15inch display?? If I set GPIO 4 to 0 backlight is still lighting. THX
Does anybody know, is it standart LVDS connector or special for UDOO? I want to use another display, but the question is do I need to solder the wiring.
It's special for UDOO. Regarding other displays I'd like to warn you, you'd have to recompile the driver or create a new one, which is not a trivial task.
Hello people! I am Brazilian and I am starting at udoo. I wonder what would be compatible screens to connect via lvds board without causing damage. thanks a lot
Hi, i have two problems ! First i use an ETP 4500UG B interface for touch => usb, it's work fine on my windows but not on udoo, i've read something about the kernell, but i'm not goog in android Can someone help me ? Second problem is about my kyocera LVDS screen : here his pin and how i've connected them to udoo : But the screen doesn't work too, if anyone can help me here too ... Many thanks !
Okay so my kyocera screen works good now ! But i can't adjust brightness on android (with the slider in setup), i can only adjust him with resistor to adjust voltage on the touchscreen. Is there a pin on udoo to control brightness with android ?
I would like to ask whether the LCD 7" touchscreen (http://shop.udoo.org/eu/accessories/video-kit-7-touch.html) is compatible with UDOO Neo. The Neo docs (http://www.udoo.org/docs-neo/Hardware_Reference/LVDS_connector.html) talks as if it is perfectly supported but the connector on the Neo borad is different from the one on the cable of the LCD kit. I know that Neo docs are WIP but that statement seems pretty simple. So what is the truth? Are they compatible?
Dear Jan, the only problem is the connector. Neo needs a different cable from Dual or Quad. By reading that text you linked us anyway it's clear that they aren't the same kit you already find in the shop, isn't it? Otherwise I'll make it clearer. Finally, just to make you relaxed, there will the option to buy just the cable, not another screen.
Well, the sentence "Two LVDS panels are provided and officially supported by the UDOO Team:" in the Neo docs seems to me that the kits are compatible (or rather the displays, not speaking about the kits at all and how is one supposed to know about the kits in that case?). However, the cable thing is a good news. Thanks! I have also tried to go through the display datasheet and Neo schematics hoping that I will be able to find out the differences to make an adapter but so far I was unsuccessful. The display datasheet does not describe the connector pins (or maybe I'm just not smart enough ). But I'll try to find it out from the Dual/Quad schematics which I suppose has the same connector.
I meant that Dual/Quad has the same connector as is on the LCD panel, not on Neo. Of course Neo's connector is different, I understood that very well now .
@Jan Žegklitz here's the cable you were looking for: http://shop.udoo.org/eu/accessories/lvds-cable-for-7-for-neo.html @golfgtig60 I don't know actually, we don't have that screen in the office.
@Andrea Rovai when will be the lvds cable available? The full 7-inch kit is available(display + cable), but the cable only is still not available.
