With the increasing availability of ISO udoo, for example: Linaro Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Linaro Ubuntu 11.10 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Yocto Official XBMC release by Stephan Rafin Open Media Vault (NAS) anyone know the possibility of implementing a Multi-booting In which you can install more OS in the same SD and choose (via GUI) which OS to run at startup (with a bootable by default after a few seconds). ex. Programs for generate multi-booting Usb : xboot depot-multiboot
Team UDOO have recently switched to uboot2013 which does support boot menus, but haven't implemented it (yet). However yes you can have multiple partitions on your Media (whether that be SD card or SATA, or both). You can interrupt the uboot boot process and then change the environmental variable to point to the partition which holds the OS you wish, then just tell it to continue booting. Not ideal, but a perfectly fine workaround for the moment. If Team UDOO don't do boot menu's then someone in the community will (which may then be adopted officially perhaps)
jandrew77 unfortunately we have no plan to implement a multi-booting system in a short time period (even though this would be a very nice features). Happy to see if one of our users will do that. As Lifeboat_Jim said you can interrupt the boot process and change the env variables. It's quite tedious but a working solution at the moment.
