Just bought a X86 a couple of weeks ago. In the middle of working, the screen was suddenly frozen and I then restarted it. Since then, only amber LED glows and green LED does not turn on. I check the power supply, it is absolutely fine supplying 12V / 3A. Occasionally, the green LED turns on and goes back to amber LED. What could have gone wrong? Thanks.
See if you can get into the setup screen (press ESC button on keyboard) during boot. It could be your OS got corrupt. Were is your OS placed? Prepare an USB with a live OS (Ubuntu LIVE) and try to boot from that. Reset your EUFI/Bios settings https://www.udoo.org/docs-x86/Hardware_Reference/UEFI_Firmware.html
Hi Thank you very much for the suggestion. I tried to boot up with Ubuntu. Still the same amber LED only is on. I also checked the power supply thoroughly and found to be in good condition supplying 12V/3A. Strange...
Did you boot it from USB through the boot menu in the setup utility or just put the USB stick in and boot? Did you reset the EUFI settings? (F9 in EUFI tool or remove clock battery) Press button ESC multiple time during Boot process, see also https://www.udoo.org/docs-x86/Hardware_Reference/UEFI_Firmware.html
