    Does the X86 Udoo support being powered over POE or does it require a separate power supply?

    No, please understand that PoE is not the universal solution for supplying power to any device.
    X86 based computers can be power hungry and the power demand can be bursty.
    Feeding power thru (typically) 28 AWG thin wires (2 in downstream direction and 2 in upstream direction), while the load can be rather high (say 1.2A and up to 2A) and the Ethernet cable can be 50 meters or more is insane.

    Look around, one can find PoE solution for IP cameras, but NONE for any type of PC (laptop, desktop, etc.) should be a clear sign.
