Hi, after receiving my UDOO quad about 14 days ago, at the first try I thought it might be defective, as no power up. I found out that the supplied 12V power supply is defective, only a few mV coming out. I powered up my UDOO with my benchtop power supply, and everything worked fine so far. I went to the UDOO homepage, "contact" section, and selected "I need technical support". While this might not be completely true, it was the nearest fitting selection. I told my story there, and ask to send a replacement power supply. I did not get a confirmation mail or something similar. This is now at least about 10 days ago, and I did not hear anything of the UDOO team. What would have been the correct way to "tell" that the (in my Kit) included power supply is defective and ask for a replacement?
Re: Defective 12V power supply yea what you did was the right thing process wise, the issue is that the UDOO team is currently using an email based system to deal with incoming requests and it has proven to be overwhelming to them. They are (obviously) not able to handle and track everything in a timely manner. To resolve this they are working on a new ticketing system from what i understand, but its still being setup.
Re: Defective 12V power supply Martin_STP, tomorrow we will ship your replacement and you’ll receive an email with your tracking number by then. Sorry for the delay We also sent you an email with the same notice
Re: Defective 12V power supply UDOO, received the replacement power supply today. Delivers 12V - thanks! Well, it has the wrong connector (US plug instead of EU plug needed) - will have to use an adaptor. If it helps to eventually evaluate if someone other received something wrong: the envelope the PSU was in was labeled with "1907 BACKERLD - 1907" In short words: you cant have everything ;-) Please consider as solved. Thanks!
