Too much spam

Can someone delete the spam posts littering the forum?

what spam are you talking about? There's no spam today. Yet at least

 

There is a boat load this weekend! Can you limit the number of post anyone can make per day? Like maybe 5? Just trying to think of things to try, to discourage spammers.

 

Although 5 might not be enough when you are having a discussion. This weekend was very bad though.

 

Yes, like 65 spam messages. Wow! Perhaps 5 is too small, or maybe there are other ways to mitigate all the spam.

 

And another massive spam load! Ridiculous!

 

A spam attack this big is unprecedented for the UDOO Forum.
Today I logged in and there were 130 flagged messages waiting for moderation, and many users too ban.
We're taking new countermeasures to prevent this from happening again.

 

And it happens again!

 

The problem is that these are human spammers, that keep signing up. I feel like playing Whac-A-Mole

Now they are using "polls" to spam us. Kill non-members from generating "polls"?

 

There is a constant flow of spam, with the spam filter hiding most of them. Unfortunately, there's an increasing amount getting past the filter, so community members clicking on the report button is most appreciated!

I'm investigating options for solving this, and improving the overall community experience.

 

It is getting annoying again the last days. Lots of spammers, about 10 messages this morning only.

 

@waltervl Agree! The spam has increased dramatically over the last couple of months, and more are getting through the filter

I am currently working on a solution for this.
