I am trying to install Ubuntu 17.10 on the UDOO x86 advanced and am running into difficulties. I have the live version on a thumb-drive and it boots perfectly. When I try to install on my 16GB uSD it says "You need at least 8.3 GB disk space to Install Ubuntu. This computer has only 8.0 GB". I get this error whether or not the uSD card is in or out. I assume the installer is referring to my 8 GB thumb drive. How do I tell the installer to put it on the uSD card? I am missing something here.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Update: I jumped the gun here. It looks like this issue has already been addressed in another thread. It seems I may need to update the BIOS. I red the instructions and am pretty confused. Do I run the utility to make a boot disk that updates the BIOS or do I need to somehow run the utility from the X86 board?

Boot into the Ubuntu desktop Live USB. You can run the firmware update tool and then install the operating system after you restart.
