I downloaded UbuntuStudio 12.04 but I can not unzip it, it always return an error. I have tried several times to re-download using torrent also, I checked the hash, I tried to update 7zip, I tried on both a Windows PC than on a Mac but I have always an error. Why?
Yep, you're right. I tried to unzip the Dual version with StiffitExpander and it returns me a damaged package. The Quad image does work though. Gonna fix it asap
Two weeks have passed .... maybe it was not just a problem of zip? Considering that I intend to use Ubuntu Studio can help you in any way?
Massimo you're right, i'll remove the corrupted version. We're preparing the new version but i think we'll not be able to release anything this week. Sry about that.
Arrghhh... the file on the downloads page still seems to be the corrupted zip.... is there anytime line as to when this will be replaced? thx G
To me ALL the images say they are corrupt , but work without problems . I tried downloading from all sources , bit torrent , and the two http sources and compared them .
for me only the studio Ubuntu has been corrupt (I have NOT tried them all...) using the built in zip / unzip in the finder produces a zip.cpgz file not an .img using stuffit expander just generates an error and no out file sniff... are we waiting for the general update for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS? and thus Ubuntu Studio 14.04 LTS? that would be kool G
Humm... Still hoping for a working zip file.. I know that it was stated that there was a new version and other priorities but could some one make a available a working zip file of the original file? via torrent or file sharing? or is there a way to modify the quad package to work on the dual boards? thanks in advance G
Really hoping this gets solved soon, I'd like to start working on a project and Ubuntu Studio is definitely the ideal fit for it. Any ETA on a fixed release? Is it waiting on a new Ubuntu Studio release or just needs to be uploaded again? Thanks, Eric
I removed the Ubuntu Studio from the download page. No ETA at this time. I'll let you know when the distribution will be available again.
No problem, thanks for the update! I'll give Linaro a try and I bet I can at least get some stuff started. Thanks again! -Eric
Try UDOObuntu, it works way better than the previous armel distro. http://www.udoo.org/udoobuntu-beta-2/
