Hello everyone, Putting Black case in sliver case was bit of hassle. I put Samsung pro 960 hard drive in then I put usb stick of windows 7 to installed them. When I switch the Udoo bolt on and it went straight bio then I change boot option of USB device that hoping to installed windows from USB Stick but it kept going back BIO. Can someone point in the right directions please. Is there any issue that I am unaware of like power plug or whatever is. The reason I bought Udoo Bolt V8 was replace my desktop computer. Cheers
I can't see the BOIS screen on my bolt so I put a Ubuntu USB stick in blind and it booted with the default BIOS settings. I didn't connect a had drive though, so perhaps it prefers to boot from that. Are you sure you made a bootable win 7 stick?
@ op Installing Win7 will be a challenge for any recent CPUs, be it Intel's or AMD's. Any issue on that, check Microsoft's statement. (I am not saying work around does not exist / will not happen. It just needs lot of work.) Boot a non-bootable media (e.g., win7 USB flash installation dongle) will throw the UDOO Bolt directly into BIOS setup menu.
I am not sure, but you may use LazeSoft to create a bootable Win7 USB http://www.lazesoft.com/lazesoft-recovery-suite-free.html
Sorry! The software to create a bootable Win7 USB should be "WinSetupFromUSB" http://www.winsetupfromusb.com/downloads/
AMD Ryzen CPU is not supported by Microsoft on Windows 7. So a succesfull installation will be pure luck. But keep us posted!
