    I hava a Neo running Udoobuntu 2.1.2 and a Mac running 10.11.6

I have installed the Serial and HoRNDIS drivers.

When I connect the Neo via USB a boot disk appears in the finder, and a tty.usbmodem1413 device appears in /dev on the Mac. I can use "cu" to connect to the device and get a ubuntu login prompt.

However, no network device appears at 192.168.7.2

How can I fix this ?

I wanted to use the direct connection to upload Arduino sketches. I tried the instructions for using the network to upload sketches, but the Neo has nothing listening on port 5152. Output from nmap:
    22/tcp open ssh
    80/tcp open http
    5900/tcp open vnc
    8000/tcp open http-alt

Did you try to ping it? Any chance a firewall is blocking it? If you have access to a non-Mac, try plugging it into that one.

I got it to work. After installing the latest HORNDIS driver (rel8), I had to go to "System Preferences->Network", and delete and re-add the "Multifunction Composite Gadget" entry. Apparently an old configuration was breaking things.

    Thanks. - Bob
