I am anxiously awaiting my Bolt. The possibilities for using this board seems vast. I am curious to see what people who have their Bolts are using them for. I am looking forward to trying it out as a Linux/Windows 10 machine. I would like to try out the Arduino capabilities of the board.
I am using mine currently in my Living Room as a Home Theater PC, replacing a home built AMD Kaveri based system with a uATX motherboard. I replaced the fan with a quieter one and it is behind a glass door so the noise is not an issue. Tho BOLT is much smaller than the uATX system, but it does not have a DVD drive (but I found myself very rarely using DVD's anymore; most of my movies are on Hard Disc or Streamed).
waiting for fan issue to go away so it could do as a reasonably light yet pretty powerful pc serving the FHD projector mounted on ceiling... secondary role as a home NAS storage.
My plan is to install in on my boat, both as a SignalK server, display and input/output (buttons and control lamps) controller. Held off at the moment by not being able to access the embedded controller and keyboard matrix decoder.
That sounds interesting. I'm wondering what fan you are using and if you got the Kickstarter Case because that would limit the fan options.
I received mine and I am not too happy about the fan noise. I backed the reward with the UDOO case and was hoping to use it for my Emby DVR server but I couldn't handle the fan noise.
Mine right now, Plex Server, Mid Gaming, DVR and SmartHome Server. Waiting for the fan to be shipped to me, and the bios update, so i don't have to monitor and turn off remotely when the fan doesn't kick in.

Due to that fan issue it's an iron brick doing nothing nada niente niets. Moderator: I've edited out the cursing. Please don't use them again, next time I'll delete the post an issue a warning.
Bought this useless product about a year ago, I still can not use it and I probably never will.. Still bios NO bios update! Very frustrating...! Arghh! A total waste of money, $ 501 GONE!
