Apparently there ist a Firmware file numbered 1.08 in to be found in https://udoo.org/download/files/UDOO_BOLT/UEFI_update/ : UDOOBOLT_C40_UEFI_Update_rel108.zip Is there any release information I somehow might have missed? Where would I find the official instructions for flashing the BIOS? Any help appreciated! -rolf
From the History.txt file inside... 1.08 [2020-04-23] - Label change - Changed default setup for Fan Thermal management - Corrected bug in temperature hysteresis (Was managed in tenth of grades)
Also, the file "APN - BIOS programming using AFU rel1.4.pdf" inside the archive documents the installation
Has anyone updated their Bolt with this FW yet? Waht about the fan issues? Are they fixed or gotten better?
Applied the update and at first after reboot thought I'd bricked it. But then after another reset Windows came back up again. Apparently the annoying fan noise problem has been solved. Wheee! Will keep an eye on temperatures. So far CPU idles at 50°C, Mem at 40°C and m.2 SSD at 50°C. Fan on low is audible when one is near the machine, but not disturbing or annoying any more. Hav not yet put the system under stress. Will do later.
The documentation page is changed after the firmware update so the documentation Page should show the default settings. https://github.com/UDOOboard/Bolt-D...de7f0c0#diff-70b79ea1fbb5859346b2babac51208da
Thank you kindly for the link. I wasn't aware of the repo. As to the settings, it's interesting that they 'kick-in' fan only after temperature grows pass 75 (70+hist). Seems quite high.
