What Udoo? Do you mean Udoo Neo WiFi SoftAP? I think it also works for Udoo Quad/Dual as they have the almost the same Udoobuntu (linux). But it is not in the documentation.

From that wiki Page: Technical description Wi-Fi Direct essentially embeds a software access point ("Soft AP"), into any device that must support Direct. The soft AP provides a version of Wi-Fi Protected Setup with its push-button or PIN-based setup. I don't know if udoobuntu soft ap support a direct wifi.
I confirm that UDOObuntu on UDOO DUAL/QUAD supports Wi-Fi direct Soft AP in the same way that UDOO NEO does, applying the very same procedure. We are just editing the documentation adding this information.
