Hello everyone! Seeing that there isnt many cases for the UDOO me and a friend of mine who bought the udoo wanted to change that fact. I have started to work on a case that can be 3D printed either via my shop at shapeways or if you have a own printer or have a friend who got on i can share the files for printing. Done some renders of the design so far.
A extra dc power jack and some cables to transfer power. Front power cable just looks horrible, if you want to have this as a mediacenter you do not want to look at a cable at the front of the box.
Looks very elegant. I like the pinout extensions (already in the case?) and the fan. What about LVDS and SATA? How can I plug the cables?
I'm thinking of doing it with different top parts, so you just buy the one that fits your needs, and maybe one with access to everything. The images of the case now isnt a finished product yet.
may I ask, what 3d program did you use? I am trying to do a case with Blender but cant get the 3D board imported.
I have almost finished the box now, and will start to make tests to see how it prints in a 3d-printer. When it's done i will post results.
Greetings, I was wondering if you had any progress on this case. I am interested in trying one out. I have some other ideas for cases too actually if you are interested. -thank you
Me too. We are preparing a post about weird UDOO cases, cool ones and generically regarding users experimenting on a custom UDOO case. Thus, it would be nice to have some photos and the design ready to be shared! Would you mind?
