In our never-ending strive to create new cutting edge technology we have created many products we’re proud for. The UDOO X86 is one of them! But, it has been some time since we created it and as most creators, we’re never fully satisfied. We have a never-ending hunger for innovation and growth, and we really loved our UDOO X86! But we knew we could do better, so we did. Welcome the X86 II!
So we upgraded our UDOO X86 and created UDOO X86 II, a new step in this board’s journey. What’s different about it? You may ask. Well, you might want to sit down, because the list is long.
The Arduino™ compatible features of the board are now powered by the Microchip ATmega32U4, so like the UDOO BOLT, the board is Arduino™ Leonardo compatible.
The Arduino™ Leonardo has 20 digital I/O pins of which 12 can be used as analog inputs and 7 as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) outputs. The internal USB connection can implement other functions than serial UART like MIDI or Keyboard.
Software-wise, the Arduino™ Leonardo compatible
The original UDOO X86 is no longer in production due to the End-of-Life status of the Intel® Curie™ module that powered the onboard Arduino ™ compatible microcontroller. So we took this chance to improve our X86 and give you a (literally) 2.0 version of our product.
Still the same UDOO X86 you love, just better. UDOO X86 II is its new baby
The UDOO X86 II is already available in our shop at https://shop.udoo.org/x86.html
We’re proud to be able to take this step forward and can’t wait for you all to take more steps into this amazing journey into innovation.
